Autism South Africa is offering Hands On Autism training at Quest School for Autistic Learners in Port Elizabeth from Wednesday to Friday, November 14 to 16.
Hands on Autism is a collaborative effort between Autism South Africa and the Johannesburg School for Autism to provide affordable, practical and experiential ASD specific training to teachers, therapists and classroom assistants.
It was created by Claire Allen, Tam Bennett, and Reinette Lombard, who collectively have more than 20 years Hands On experience in the field of autism. It is based on a combination of ASD approaches and the course consists of theoretical sessions and practical application within a classroom at an autism specific school or unit.
The three-day module costs R1980 and includes on-site training of approximately 7 hours per day, building on the first Hands On Autism training course.
